Extensive Fixed Wire Testing Services
We offer our Fixed Wire Tests to businesses of all sizes so that they can be sure that their electrics are up to standard. There are two main dangers that can be associated with electricity, these are; the risk of shock and the possibility of fire. Over a period of time normal wear and tear can increase those risks because the installations deteriorate, this also happens naturally with age.
How Does it work?
Each circuit undergoes a series of tests to make sure that it is wired correctly and that the wiring is safe and in good condition.
Then the cables and accessories of the circuit are tested and inspected for damage and wear and tear, these include;
- Light Switches
- Light Fittings
- Socket Outlets
- Air Conditioning Supplies
Any ‘damage, deterioration, defects and dangerous conditions within the installation’ is then identified on the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).
Any faults that are found are given one of three codes; C1, C2 or C3. Both C1 and C2 mean that the installation is of an unsatisfactory condition, C1 faults require urgent remedial work.
If a fault has been discovered you will be given a time frame that this must be repaired within, this can vary depending on the coding of the faults.
