This quotation is based on existing electrical system being fault free.
During Inspection & Testing, cable concealed within trunking and conduits, or cables and conduits concealed under floors, roof spaces, generally within the fabric of the building, or underground, will not be visually inspected.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
Working at Heights - Our quotations are for testing and installation works at heights of less than three (3) Metres. (Unless specifically detailed, any work above this height will be at an additional cost to this quote)
Fragile Surfaces and Confined Spaces – Our quote assumes that all Fragile Surfaces as defined in the Work at Height Regulations, and Confined Spaces (Confined Spaces Regulations 1997) are identified and known to us, and that Fragile Surfaces are safe to work on or beneath and Confined Spaces are safe to enter. Should Fragile Surfaces and Confined Spaces be deemed unsafe during works; a survey/assessment may be required to determine control measures and requirements, and subsequent additional costs to this quote.
Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) – We have assumed that no ACMs are present or if present they will not prevent the completion of our works under normal conditions. In accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR), we would require sight of the asbestos register/plan prior to commencing work. Should it be determined that works cannot be completed under normal working conditions an assessment/survey would be required to determine requirement, an ACM Licensed Contractor will need to be employed to carry out the installation works where required. This will be at an additional cost to this quote.
Welfare Arrangements – It is assumed that the client will be providing welfare facilities under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and where possible secure storage for plant and materials. Should these not be available; EIAT Limited will provide these at additional costs to this quote.
Construction (Design and Management) – If these works fall within the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 there should be an appointed CDM Co-ordinator and a Principal Contractor who provides a Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan. If CDM details and the Plan have not been provided to us at the time of this quotation, we reserve the right to amend our quotation costs on sight of the Construction Health and Safety Plan.
Waste Handling - All waste will be removed from your site and treated as controlled or hazardous waste in accordance with the Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations 1991. Large quantities of waste requiring skip handling will be at an additional cost to this quote.
ABORTIVE CHARGE
An Abortive Visit Charge is applied where an appointment is agreed for work at an ‘End User’s Site’ and the engineer arrives within the appointment slot but is unable to carry out the work at, or gain access to, the end user site.
Further information is provided in the notes below and full details of when this charge applies are detailed in the individual contracts and pricing schedules.
eiatuk will charge an Abortive Visit Charge when:
When the job has been confirmed verbally or in writing by the end user or the Facilities Provider, who has given permission for eiatuk to appoint and the engineer(s) has arrived on site within the appointment slot and:
Engineer(s) is unable to gain access to the site or premises or
End user is not ready for the work to be completed i.e. building work or operational constraints.
Person who placed the order or their representative is not available to provide detailed work instruction i.e. fuse board location.
eiatuk will also charge an Abortive Visit Charge when:
When appointments are cancelled or delayed after a confirmed schedule visit dates up to 72 hours. Each late appointment cancellation or delay, whether originated by End User, Facilities provider, will be charged for separately.
An engineer is unable to complete the job due to End User, Facilities provider order quality issues i.e. incorrect address, incorrect order, order duplication etc.
A responsible adult is unavailable. Engineers cannot enter premises where they would be escorted solely by a person under the age of 18
Additionally eiatuk reserves the right to charge on non-appointed out of normal working hours, reactive callouts and the engineer arrives but is unable to gain access.
eiatuk will NOT charge when:
The job has not been appointed (name of person accepting booking has not been obtained, other than out of hours placed directly with the duty engineer callouts.
eiatuk misses the appointment.
An engineer simultaneously delays more than one order at the same address. Only one charge will be raised.
An engineer is unable to attend the End Users site due to MBORC (Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control)scenarios such as snow, flooding, security/health alerts, IT system failures.

Our Insurance Cover levels are provided for guidance only. Full details are available and can be emailed or sent to you on request:
Professional Indemnity Insurance cover: £ 10,000,000.00
Invoice Terms
Supply of Goods only, Inspection & Test only - Invoiced on delivery of goods or completion of report.
Supply of Goods and Installation - Invoiced on delivery of goods and completion of installation.
Payment Terms
All costs/pricing quoted are subject to Value Added Tax at the current rate.

Damages
No allowance has been made for any form of performance bond or damages, such as liquidated damages, consequential loss etc. (Unless stated within documentation submitted to us for quotation purposes)
Retention
No allowance has been made for retention of any moneys due, following completion of works. (Unless stated within documentation submitted to us for quotation purposes)
WARRANTY
All EIAT UK Ltd installation work has a twelve (12) Month warranty for goods and workmanship that are defective. This excludes consumable such as lamps, elements etc. This also excludes items that have not been operated or maintained in line with manufactures instructions or malicious damage of any kind.
